FFMPEG ISSUE

Postby TENtimesFAST » Tue Jan 11, 2011 1:54 am

Ok, I've searched and searched but cannot find a good answer to my problem and I know it's an easy fix but I'm still quite novice w/ Linux and CentOS

I installed FFMPEG but cannot, for the life of me, figure out where where the file is I need to move to the transcodes folder and it's driving me crazy! Same thing goes for lame.

Any pointers would be very appreciated!

Thanks!

I just went through this. I just created a symbolic in the transcode directory in subsonic like the following:

Code: Select all
user@ubuntu-server:/var/subsonic/transcode$ ls -al
total 8
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2011-01-10 16:38 .
drwxrwxrwx 7 root root 4096 2011-01-09 21:54 ..
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root   13 2010-03-30 14:26 faad -> /usr/bin/faad
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root   27 2011-01-10 16:38 ffmpeg -> /home/user/ffmpeg/ffmpeg
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root   13 2010-03-30 14:26 flac -> /usr/bin/flac
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root   13 2010-03-30 14:26 lame -> /usr/bin/lame
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root   15 2010-03-30 14:26 oggdec -> /usr/bin/oggdec
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root   15 2010-03-30 14:26 oggenc -> /usr/bin/oggenc

Search in /usr/bin or /usr/locale/bin. This is a default locations for Linux...
