HTTP error 503

Postby user68 » Fri Jan 21, 2011 8:35 am

I've had Subsonic 4.2 running on my Windoes Home Server for a few months but it has just stopped working. I can't open it in the browser and get the message "HTTP Error 503"

I've tried reinstalling Subsonic 4.3 but still get the same error message. No changes have been made on the server so far as I know. Can anyone please help?

Problem solved by deleting the DB folder. Next step will be to dump this high maintenance windows home server.....

Agreed!!!

It took me 3 yrs to finally get WHS into a stable configuration. That's how I came to Subsonic, looking for a replacement for Twonky Media. Totally scraped the HP MSS platform, it's just too small and the internal temps chew through hard drives like crazy, lost 3 in one year. Dumped the whole thing and built a generic WHS in an Antec 300 case with 120mm fans everywhere, the slow quiet kind, used an AMD 65W quadcore CPU with 4GB ram and 4 2TB hard drives, Primary - Seagate 7200 XT and 3 Smasung F3's. Formatted the primary drive to 250GB C: and put the rest in the storage pool. Everything runs cool, quiet, and at last it's truly stable. Does the daily workstation backup thing, has plenty of room for user shares, and runs Subsonic flawlessly!! 3 yrs of tweaking to make what was supposed to be a consumer ready product work properly is beyond the pale, no wonder HP dumped the whole thing.

My temps in the Antec box never rise above 30C. Been online now for months without a reboot or error.
