unable to log into subsonic localhost:4040

I recently returned my old rental modem and purchased my own. However, after the change, I've been unable to login through http://localhost:4040 on my IMAC. OS X Version 10.6.6.

The message I'm getting is "RFB 003.008"

Also, when I click on the headphones and goto Subsonics Control Panel it states:

Error message: Address already in use. Please change port number.

Since it seems I've trying everything to get my logon back - my last move was to connect my IMAC directly to the modem and bypass my TIME CAPSULE. I am able to connect, but I still get: "RFB 003.008"

I've uninstalled and installed Subsonic several times...with no luck. I've even turned of the firewall...still, no luck. Can anyone please help.

If there's is something screwed up in my Subsonic setting, I can't even make changes.
