Currently running speedtest on my phone's at&t network and getting 1.5mbps down and almost 1mbps up, and while I know this isn't blazing fast, I still feel like this is fast enough to get songs loading pretty quickly.

However, using subsonic, it will often take at least 5-7 seconds for a song to begin loading, and I can tell by the download rate that I am definitely not achieving anywhere near 1.5mbps down (seems more like 50-60 kbps second down).

Any ideas on how to speed things up?

What's the upload capability from the server?

Test on my server and compare performance.
