Shuffle Play is not working at all. Android (HTC EVO)

I just followed the full instructions on setting up Subsonic on my PC running Windows 7 and downloaded and installed the Android app as well on my HTC EVO. I can play individual songs just fine from my library but Shuffle Play does not work at all from my computer, it just tells me "Playlist is empty" on the Player screen when I press it. Shuffle Play works fine if I use it on the Demo Server but not mine. Does anyone have any idea why that would be and how I could go about fixing it? Thank you.

Regenerate the Search Index. I believe that the search index is used to build the random playlist.

Settings->Search->Update Search Index

That worked perfectly! Thank you so much! I wasn't even aware that the shuffle came from there. I guess it hadn't scanned yet since it was set to do so at 3 AM daily. That would explain why it wouldn't work.
