SMB shares on Debian Linux Installation

Postby Hekkie » Thu Mar 10, 2011 12:15 pm

I've been searching but haven't found much on this issue:

I've installed Subsonic on a Debian-Linux machine, it works, I can log in. Now I try to connect to my NAS with shared folders. No go. I used several notations. But all the time "no music folder found".

I already had it running on Windows XP and there I also had a lot of trouble connecting, but after al lot of searching I found out how to do it and got it working. So I used this NAS SMB before.

I think maybe I have to mount a SMB connection in debian first. (I installed the samba client on debian) But I don't know how to do it. My Linux skills aren't that high.... Is there someone who got this working? Or does someone know where I can find info on this problem?

Try having a look at this thread

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=288534

This will allow you to permenantly mount your samba share in ubuntu and you ought to be able to then connect to it OK
