Struggling to reverse proxy Subsonic with Apache2

Postby nemof » Mon May 16, 2011 10:36 pm

Hi there. Going nuts trying to put Subsonic behind a reverse proxy.

Currently have a directive set up under the SSL virtual server however I can see some of the frames are broken including dynamic elements like the flash player, playlist view and other elements which rely on the main script running. Static elements are being called like image files for icons etc.

Looking at the apache error log, I can see that it's calling /var/www so obviously it cant call the main script to perform its functions, but I know very little about writing apache directives and I'm struggling to fix this so I can access subsonic under https://sudomain.domain.tld/subsonic/.

Any help would be appreciated.

I got this working, but I don't remember if there were any additional steps to get it working. First of here, here is the entry from my virtual hosts file:

<Location /subsonic/>
order deny,allow
deny from all
allow from all
ProxyPass http://192.168.1.70:52983/subsonic/
ProxyPassReverse http://192.168.1.70:52983/subsonic/
</Location>

Does that help at all? If not, check the /etc/default/subsonic file. You might need to add a --context-path entry to the subsonic arguments (run "subsonic --help" for more info here). If you set the subsonic daemon context path to the same as path on your proxy, I think it will work. Hope that makes some sense,
