startup....

Postby dolled » Fri Jul 07, 2006 9:36 pm

Hi,

I have installed the tomcat as a service (via XYNTService). It starts up in the tray, but I have to manullay right click it and choose start. I have opened up properties and chosen "Automatically" but when I close it and choose properties again it says "Manually".

Is there some switch I can use when it starts up. I see that there is some switch set in the startup ( //MS//Tomcat5). Can I add something here?

You don't need to use XYNTService. If you use the Windows version of Tomcat, it already installs as a service.

well... How the service was installed was not really my question (that was just for info). I was wondering how I could get it to start automatically. In the tray, if I right click and choose configure, it says Start Up Type: Manually. I want it to start automatically, but if I choose automatically it just goes back to manually. (It does not save....)

The built-in service works both in manual and automatic mode.
I have no experience with XYNTService so I can't help you there, I'm afraid.
