apache forwarding help

Postby barrydocks2 » Sun May 22, 2011 6:49 am

Just discovered subsonic and I must say I am very impressed, will shortly sent off my donation!

This is really an Apache query;
I have a basic install using the deb and have changed the https port to 4141 as I could not get 443 to work - I currently have apache running on 443. My query is:
1. how do I switch off the standard http port on 4040?
2. how do I get apache to redirect from say https://www.mydomain/subsonic to https://mydomain:4141

I was hoping to avoid installing tomcat.

Thanks

I guess you can't get port 443 to work because Apache is already listening on it...

If you want Apache to redirect your domain to subsonic, you need to look for reverse proxy...
I reverse proxy media.schattorie.nl(:80) to localhost:4040

But I use HTTP, I'm nog sure about HTTPS...
VMWare ESXi 5.5 > Ubuntu 16.04 > Subsonic 6.0 (Modded with PHP based registration feature)
