Help getting folder setup correctly

Postby corybucher » Thu May 26, 2011 8:38 pm

First off I am a complete idiot to these things. I have gotten the .app to download and have made a user and did the automatic port forwarding on my cisco e2000 router but it is giving me an error on setting up my personal web page saying its registered but not connected (connection timeout) Also I am using a mac and have about 11gb of music in a folder here users/corybucher/music/music for car/ but it will not accept this folder and just says that there is not any folders to go through. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced

Also does it matter which user you use because I created my own instead of using the admin?

Typically these are caused by routing problems. Are you sure you actually forwarded the port correctly, and there's not another firewall running on your Mac itself that's blocking the incoming connection?

Instead of "users/corybucher/music/music" try "/users/corybucher/music/music". On Linux that would make all the difference in the world. Although, I don't really know Mac, but the concepts are generally the same... and without that forward slash, it's not a valid folder path.

No. Any user with admin rights on Subsonic has the same rights as the original admin user.
