Stuck at the beginning

Is there a tutorial that will give me a complete rundown of what I a) have to have; b) what to do? The Monroe one (http://monroeworld.com/android/subsonic/) seems to be wonderful, but I'm stuck at the beginning.

I cannot get past the "Address already in use" problem. Have tried several port # changes, but to no avail. Also "open Subsonic in browser" comes up with an empty screen.

http://localhost/ goes to a blank browser, http://localhost:4040. does, too.

Appreciative of any hand-holding you can lend.

What operating system are you running, and do you have Java installed on it?

Windows 7; Java - yes

or right click on the green tray icon and click open in browser.
