Teamviewer and Subsonic

Postby sether52 » Fri Jun 24, 2011 2:21 pm

My subsonic was working beautifully until recently. Actually, it seemed to happen right after I donated and installed the key. Probably coincidental. Anyway, now when I go to my server, it says "Teamviewer is using this port, change the advanced settings to allow other programs to use port 80." This setting has been set from day one, I don't know why all of the sudden it says it's not working. Makes no sense to me.

My subsonic will work when I'm at home on my home wifi, but outside my home it doesn't work. Thanks for your help! You people are geniuses!

Did you recently install an application called Teamviewer. Because thats what sounds like is causing your problem.

You essentially have 2 different applications that are trying to listen on the same port (this will not work). You need to modify the port being used on either subsonic or teamviewer. Then you will also need to modify your router in how it forwards the corresponding external ports to the internal applications.

If subsonic was working before hand, you can easily change teamviewers ports by going into teamviewer Extra - Options - advanced - show advanced options - and put a tick that says "Don't use incoming ports 80 or 443"

Hope this helps.
