Cant crawl/index network drives anymore

For several months i had no issues with network drives running in tandem with local drives for content delivery. Recently ive no longer been able to crawl the drives over the network. When i enable them it just says some features not available as its still indexing or something similar. I run subsonic on the local machine where the problem is occurring and it has no issues. so local to both machines is fine, but using a network path is having issues now. What can i check to resolve this problem?

This is usually because the Subsonic service has not been give logon rights to the stored data. The solution for this in Windows can be found in this tutorial:
