Error Message I don't see anywhere in the Forums

Here's an interesting problem. I am (fairly) certain that I have done the configurations on my router correctly. Canyouseeme says the port is open. Streaming works internally, as long as you're connected to my network everything is fine. Can't access anything over the internet outside of the network. And inside Subsonic, when I try to register a website I get this gem of an error message that I can't find elsewhere on the help forum.

That is a bit strange ... unless the port you have open isn't actually going to Subsonic. Canyouseeme.org will tell you if a port os open or not, but it won't tell you if that port is actually going to SS.

What port are you trying to use for Subsonic? I'd recommend setting up just http access first before moving to SSL.

Socket exception tells me that either your router, the port you are trying to use or a personal firewall is more than likely the source of the issue and it sounds like the traffic is being refused. If you properly forwarded the port in your router and made sure to enable the right protocol, I usually just set it for UDP and TCP just to make sure, then try turning off your firewall and testing the connection again. Make sure you're not using common ports under 1024 as well and keep in mind your ISP may be blocking traffic to ports like 80 that originate from outside your local network. Try using a different port as well and don't forget to change the config for the forwarding in the router.

Without further information from you it would be hard for someone without physical access to your machine and router to troubleshoot the problem.
