My subsonic page loads halfway and then times out

I have subsonic 4.5 installed on a win 7 x64 machine, with 4 gb ram.

Lately, since upgrading to 4.5, i cannot connect to my server properly from either the internet or my home lan, or even on the server machine itself.
the login page appears ok, and i'm able to login, but then the Home page, or Now Playing or even searching either takes a very very long time or does not load at all.
Playing a song is also unpredicatble, sometimes streaming is blazing fast, and suddenly it can stop completely...

I've set the memory limit to 512, and checked my internet connection, but it did not seem to change anything...

Did anyone encounter an issue similar to this? any help?
