Intermittent mobile access issue, LAN OK

Hi all

I've got a small issue I can't resolve.

Subsonic sits on my QNAP NAS and I can always access from my MAC.
If i've not accessed the service from my mobile for a while i get a connection error.

Once I log into the QNAP subsonic package and perform a disable/enable
I can connect fine.

All port forwarding is in place on the router, its like my mobile cant wake the service, but that does not explain why my MAC can access the server?

Has anyone seen this issue?

I also have this issue albeit much more often. Accessing from a computer, remote or local, works rather well. However, accessing from my Nexus One with T-Mobile as the carrier nearly always produces network connection failures. I am able to access other services in my home from my mobile phone. When at home and with the phone using Wi-Fi, the connections work rather well. I reorganized my music folders as to reduce the number of folder/subfolders and this seemed to help a little but it did not resolve the problem.

It seems to me there is a latency issue with the mobile application or that the mobile application cannot handle the volume of data that the Subsonic server is producing... Just a guess.

If anyone has any suggestions it would be very helpful as the mobile application is rather useless at this point.
