Subsonic - Blank browser page

Postby asaphe » Wed Oct 12, 2011 11:51 am

Hi Guys,

Got a strange problem...
Some people aren't getting the login page (or anything at all), their browser just keeps loading the page and it's blank.
Some eventually will get an error page (timeout).

Setup:
Virtual Server, Ubuntu server edition x64.
Used the war version with Tomcat.

Symptoms:
- Different ISP's
- Different Browsers
- Different Computers
- Using DNS / IP
- Using SubAir doesn't make it work

**** Using a mobile phone NOT on WIFI will ALWAYS work

Any ideas?
Any thing I should check?
The logs I know about both Subsonic's and Tomcat aren't telling me much.

* Myself and others are able to login but there is still about 10 people not being able to or being able to only from work and not home.

Thanks in advance.

If you could give some commonalties we might stand a chance at helping. :|
Those that cannot log in are they always in the same location?
What port are you using?
Are you using ssl?
and so on....

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, Image but some abuse the privilege!

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.

Sadly I am baffled by this subject because I couldn't find anything in common between the users.
Some were even logging in at first and only later on started getting the error.

- People who can't login are in different physical locations and with different ISP's.
- using port 8080 also got forwarding from port 80 to 8080 (used it when I tested for some issues and workarounds)
- Not using SSL (actually wanted to but had way to many problems)

Other than that I really listed a lot in my first post.
Is there anything server wise I can do to investigate?
