Subsonic on Synology NAS

Hi,
I know there are posts related to this, so if it seems like a repeat, forgive me. I just have some questions/concerns I have about Subsonic on a Synology DS1511+. I currently have Subsonic running on a Ubuntu server that I put together using an older core 2 duo dell desktop that i had lying around. I want to get the 1511+ but am really concerned about how I would get it working. Would I have to wipe out the current DSM Software and put linux on? Does anyone know what the steps are exactly to getting this to work on a Synology? I know there's a thread that says how another user got it working, but I'm talking on a more basic level. Like If i have the DSM, what apps I need to download and stuff like that. If anyone could please help, that would be so appreciated. I have a different need for that core 2 duo machine and was figuring, if I'm going to get a NAS box, I might as well get the 1511+ but I don't want to put down upwards of $700 to have a box that can't run Subsonic. If I can offer more info, please let me know.
