Why dont you try and then tell us!
As the number of tags that SS uses is very small I wouldn't think there would be a problem but there is only one way to find out.

Ok I installed Subsonic temporary on my Ubuntu laptop to find it out.
And ... yes SS can handle the ID3v2.4 tagformat.
If I have the time I will try to install SS on my NAS-Server.
