Hi,
This must be a strange question but I am looking for a way to "substitute" an mp3 file for an ogg file. Not to transcode the mp3 to ogg.
Explanation:
I have a sheevaplug (arm processor) that i have setup with subsonic to stream (only) my music for when I am not home (in the car, holiday, etc.). Sometimes I listen via a browser(mp3) and sometimes via my android(ogg). This works fine ubtil now. The arm processor is not strong enoughto transcode so I have flac mp3 and ogg files of all my music. I automatically rip my collectionto flac mp3 and ogg into 3 different folders. In subsonic I have added both folder and in the browser and the android client I can choose which folder I want to see. But my girlfriend got herself an iPhone and there the clients don't have the option to choose a folder. She sees all artist double (1 mp3, 1 ogg). This is a very cluttered view and the ogg files don't play on the iPhone.
Is it possible to:?
I would like to setup a "transcoding" rule that selects the ogg file in the same directory as the mp3 file I select, when using the android client. So whe i select ***.mp3 the rule starts playing ***.ogg.
So in other words substitution of an mp3 file by an ogg file.
I am looking forward to you replies.
Thanks,
Henk
