Norwegian characters in Linux?

Postby davidtp » Tue Dec 09, 2008 6:50 pm

I love Subsonic! Thanks!

I have now "installed" the Subsonic standalone at a CentOS box. It works okay, but Subsonic does not display any artistsname or album/song-title that contains the norwegian characters æ ø å....

Can anybody help? Something to do with UTF-8??

Solution?

It is great to have a monolog! :-)

I think I found the solution. When I transferred my music from my Windows to my CentOS installation I did it through my local network. I used WinSCP - a great tool by the way...but something wrong happend with the characters ø ø å. I did a test today and forced UTF-8 encoding for filenames. Now Subsonic is happy to read Æ Ø Å :-)
