Android phone does not recognize songs on Server

Postby elementkidd » Sun Jan 29, 2012 7:52 pm

I have subsonic running on a computer at my home, and when I try to look at the Music on my Android (epic 4g) it doesn't show any songs i have on the server. I have it linked to a music folder and i can play the music on other computers just fine. I activated the program (donated) because i thought that might have been the problem, but it still doesn't seem to work. I'm not sure if i am missing a setting somewhere or what.

{EDIT} Just tried using subair on my laptop and it doesnt seem to show any media on it either. Just says no media found on my android device

Is your music in subfolders?

The Android client likes the music in subfolders of the defined music folder.

The best library setup is:

X:\Music\Artist\Album\track

Then in the media folders you just enter X:\Music

You can also test your phone on the demo server to make sure it's not a problem with the phone.
