Where to get help with building?

I very much want to fix the problem Subsonic has with not being able to fetch podcasts which require a login/password. I have been trying to get my Eclipse environment set up to the point where I'll be able to run Subsonic in the debugger (I expect to be able to find the problem pretty quickly as it seems likely to be a very simple error) but have been having a tough time of it.

Where is a good place to get some help with setting up Eclipse to be able to work with the Subsonic sources? Also, I have been using the source tarball listed on the Downloads page on subsonic.org, should I be working with a Subversion checkout instead? One post I came across suggested such. Is there a developers mailing list or similar where I might be more likely to get responses from the developers?
