Media Folder on an External Drive

How do I point to Media Folders on an external drive?

My external drive is called LaCie.Music and the music folders are in LaCie.Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Music.

I've tried installing Subsonic both on my internal drive and also on LaCie.Music where the music resides.

Just in case, not that it should make a difference but, I am using OS X 10.7.3.
