Hello!

Good to see advancements on your side! I never thought about YT-videos myself, thank you for this advice.

When you want to format a HD with for example ext4, you can use mkfs. Try:

Code: Select all
mkfs.ext4 /dev/sdb1


, where sdb1 is again you external HD.

I don't understand exactly what your question is concerning mount :)

Mount is not so different from Windows as it seems to be at the first glance. You just tell debian that a partition of your HD is a folder in the filesystem. What you copy to this folder is written to the HD at once (btw: in Windows you can do the same thing: have a HD act as a folder).

What's about Encryption? Is Subsonic working with a encfs encrypted Ext3?
