Streams on mobile but not from work

I've loved using Subsonic for some time, and I have a peculiar issue with streaming from my desktop at work. I know my ports and everything are set from home, since I can access my library from my Android, but it constantly times out from the browser. I know basically nothing about the specs of my work computer, since everything's pretty well locked down, but it's running XP and I have Chrome installed. If I remember it right, Chrome gives me a tcp_timeout message.

Any thoughts? Any way I can access my tunes? Thanks!

Is your work computer running behind a corporate firewall?
Try setting up ssl on subsonic and see if that works - it might slip through the firewall

I'll give that a shot, thanks. Can you point me to a tutorial for SSL on Mac? I'm running OSX Lion on my server.

You need to do this everywhere HTTPS_PORT is referenced.
