Large Playlist wont load

I have a playlist that contains all of my music for one genre (around 7000 songs). When I select to "load" it, it does not load. the page simply sits there. I've left it for hours and nothing is being loaded.

anyone see this before? is there a way to load/use large playlists (or play/shuffle by an entire genre)?

I have the same problem. I wrote a script to generate a playlist for my entire music collection (about 9500 songs), but Subsonic won't load it (via the web player). The playlist in the player just remains empty.

The script will generate a playlist in M3U, PLS or XSPF format, but none of them load. In fact, when I attempt to load the XSPF version in the web player, I get a java.io.IOException error.

Based on my searching, this looks to be a common problem. Hopefully it will be fixed!

So you are trying to generate a web page containing 9500+ lines of text and you wonder why it doesn't load

My main playlist has over 3.6 trillion entries and loads in .58 milliseconds. I don't understand why others are having problems.

Yes Gary but we know you have ported your db to "/dev/null" which is blindly quick

That's the site powered by my single core atom netbook with 256mb ram. It also transcodes up to 50 simultaneous bluray videos over my 56k modem at 1080p.
