Sorry for my English.
Problem Description:
I have a new Samsung Galaxy S II G version (I9100G) under official Android 2.3.6 (non-rooted). The G version is the new version in France (and Asia from many month ago).
SubSonic is in the firsts applications that I have installed.
When I play music with SubSonic client (v3.3), I have always many cuts/stutter, and sometimes, skips.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Trancoded files in cache are goods : I don't have issue at the same moment in a track if I play again + I don't have problem with the default Samsung's music player (if.. see after)
- If WiFi is ON, I don't have issue in the SubSonic client
- If WiFi is OFF and the screen go to sleep mode, I have issue
- If WiFi is OFF and the screen is on, I don't have issue
- If SubSonic's service is running (service, not application), I have issue in the default Android/Samsung's music player
- If SubSonic's service is NOT running, I don't have issue in the default Samsung's Music player
- I have this problem on the demo server, a friend's server and my own demo server
- A friend don't have problem with her Samsung Galaxy S 1 on my own demo server
- I have this problem with default MP3 trancoding or with OGG transcoding that I have added (Flac > OGG).
So, it's a phone/client's side problem.
