These are the same 192 kbps mp3's. Transcoding settings are left at default, I haven't added anything that would tamper with an mp3 unless I don't understand your question.

I think it definitely is a problem with specific music files -- but it does act inconsistently on how it treats them. Sometimes, when I load up subsonic, it will just skip every song and not try to play. Other times it'll do the stream-but-not-play-unless-I-use-seekbar thing.

I just tried a few other albums and they are working. But quite a lot of my music has this problem so I'm curious as to what options I have with some utilities people mentioned.

I'm seeing this error as well. I've seen it on various mp3 albums and the seekbar clicking also allows the song to play.

But the same as you, if I just let it play, it loads the song up so you see the seekbar fill up, and then instead of playing, it skips to the next song. But if I tap the seekbar while it's loading, the song will then play.

You can say its the file and the encoding etc, but when the music play on all other players (subsonic and non-subsonic) I use (including the android version of subsonic) I really doubt that's the case. The only place/device it doesn't play is on the web interface of subsonic.

You will most probably find it something within the tag info that JW Player doesn't like.
Usually I find its corrupt or too large embedded album art.
See viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9434 which although referring to flacs shows how tag info will stop the web player working.
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, Image but some abuse the privilege!

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.
