Subsonic doesn't stream or show Settings Menu

Postby doitall76 » Tue May 29, 2012 1:59 pm

This morning when I tried to stream music to my phone or computer, it wouldn't. On the computer, through the web, it only shows the option to download my music, not stream or play. I also can't find my settings menu. Can someone help me?

Okay, so this only applies to the "admin" account. I logged in to one of the other accounts and they have all the options.

How do I get these options/capabilities restored to the admin?

Thanks

It looks like the user a/c that you are using has been changed/corrupted, eg all options removed except download
Have you only the one admin a/c?

ps if you require help this is the place to post - General is a bit of "backwater" part of the forum.

Yes, currently I have only the one Admin account.

I did go ahead and set up another account as an admin. I was able to get into the settings menu from the prompt:
"Welcome to Subsonic!

Subsonic is a free, web-based media streamer, providing ubiquitous access to your music.

Use it to share your music with friends, or to listen to your own music while at work. You can stream to multiple players simultaneously, for instance to one player in your kitchen and another in your living room.

To change or remove this message, log in with administrator rights and go to Settings > General."

On the home screen. Any idea of how this happens?

OK totally confused now - how did you set up another admin a/c if your original and only admin a/c had no settings options available :?

While the settings option was not there on the "toolbar" of options up top, on the right side of the splash page the following was there:

"Welcome to Subsonic! Subsonic is a free, web-based media streamer, providing ubiquitous access to your music. Use it to share your music with friends, or to listen to your own music while at work. You can stream to multiple players simultaneously, for instance to one player in your kitchen and another in your living room. I was able click that and get into it. I still can't stream on the Admin account and this is the only way I was able to get into my settings.

I went into one of the other users, and set them up as an admin.

I hope this helps clear up the confusion.
