How to migrate from Ubuntu to Windows?

Postby zzzyzygy » Wed May 30, 2012 12:28 am

I have to move soon. I have a bunch of Ubuntu and Windows servers doing various things. My Subsonic server is running on Ubuntu. When I get resettled I am planning to consolidate all that stuff onto one server with a 6-core AMD Opteron running either Windows 7 Pro or Windows Server 2008.

I've done a lot of setup and have many users. Does anybody know if all those Subsonic settings can be backed up from Ubuntu and then restored to Windows? :?

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, Image but some abuse the privilege!

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.

Thanks, but I saw that previously. That moves the settings between two PCs that use Debian. I don't know if the Ubuntu db folder is of any use on a Windows PC. I'm hoping somebody knows the answer to that question before I begin experimenting with something that may not work.

It will move the settings between any pc/os - the subsonic.script file is common to all installs.
