VLC player won't stream anything, help.

When I try to stream something in chrome/opera it justs hangs there as it's not playing.
If I use IE and download the mku then run it in VLC it just spat errors.
I googled the error and the cause was firewalls / anti viruses in most cases. However it is not in mine. Any idea how I can fix this ?

I tried to update VLC but it didn't solve anything.

win7x64bit
Newest stable version of subsonic as of yesterday(4.7.2012)
