Maximum songs in a playlist?

Postby getjams » Mon Sep 10, 2012 9:21 pm

Hello! First post here, been using subsonic for about a year now and I love it! I came across an odd thing the other day and I can't explain it. I have a playlist that was created in Winamp and saved as a .m3u file. The files are all either FLAC or mp3, and the playlist plays fine in JRiver Media Center and iTunes (except the FLAC files of course), but when I import the playlist into Subsonic, it gives me a "successfully imported playlist" response, tells me it has 100 songs in it, which is correct, and tells me the length of time collectively of all those songs, but the song list never populates and the playlist won't play. In my list of playlists in subsonic I see it there, and see (100) next to its name, telling me there are 100 songs in it. But I click on the playlist and no songs show up and it won't play. I have many other playlists in Subsonic, mostly loaded from other .m3u files also created in other audio programs and they all work fine. But this is my largest playlist and I wonder if there might be a limit to the number of songs? I have copied the .m3u file and reloaded it into other audio programs and it works fine, but not in subsonic. I haven't tested making a copy and cutting out half the songs, but I will do that. I am using 4.7 beta 3 and the latest Java. WIndows 7 ultimate, 32 bit, all files stored locally of course and the paths to the files in the .m3u file are all correct.

Thanks for any thoughts or ideas!

If you read the 4.7 beta thread viewtopic.php?f=4&t=9998 you will see there are a number of issues with playlists
but I suspect that this is due to the character case problem/bug.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, Image but some abuse the privilege!

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.
