Names/titles not showing up with Alpine Car Radio

Postby somercamb » Tue Nov 06, 2012 11:54 am

Hi there,

I have either a CDE-HD137BT or CDE-HD138BT car radio (one is android and one is ipod- I have android, but not sure which is which). So, when I play music with my Samsung Galaxy S3 through Google Music, the artist, album name and song title show up on the radio screen. But with Subsonic, all it says is "artist", "album" and "song". Any idea why?

Thank you

does the google music play on your S3's default audio player or some special google player?

it is just the Google music app from the PLAY store, nothing special. Does your subsonic app shows song names and artist names in your car radio?

Subsonic doesn't push the meta-data through bluetooth. I guess he hasn't added it yet or if he ever will. It would be nice but for now I just download the queue from subsonic app and then use the stock player to play.

So,in essence, I might as well use the Google Music app, which does push the metadata through? Not sure if doing it your way is any better than Google music. If so, how do I DL the queue?

I'm not even sure how to find the queue. Not even sure how to create a playlist. I just looked at the app and there is scant info on how to do these....
