Sending music playback to home wifi speaker devices

I have Subsonic server Ubuntu setup with my music collection and am accessing it via the Android app.
All working fine. Can playback on the laptop or on my Android smartphone. No worries.

What I would like to know is: how is it possible to direct playback to selected playback devices around the house such as an Airplay remote speaker or a Panasonic Viera TV?

I can do this with Twonky Beam and Remote for iTunes which let you select the speaker you want to send the music too.
Is there a Subsonic way to do this?
