Personal Address not working correctly

So I have subsonic working great on my internal and external network with the exception of the *.subsonic.org address. It seems that no matter what name I put in the settings it does not update my personal address. If I put Test.subsonic.org and do a ping- I get the same address as if I pinged www.subsonic.org. Port forwarding works fine- I can reach my server via IP or other DynDNS service.

Any idea? Can I change what address gets registered?

The subsonic.org vanity name service is not a DNS service, it is an http forwarding service.

Pinging the name will always return the same IP address as http://www.subsonic.org.

When you connect to that address on port 80 (standard http traffic) using a known host header (like, in your example, test.subsonic.org) the server responds with a "301 - Temporarily Moved" message that contains a redirect to

This allows people to connect to our server by just knowing the simple subsonic.org address and not needing to know the ip address, port, or context path.
