Add "pdf" to the list of audio file extensions in the settings page.

Oh thanks, i searched that too.
And can we add a pdf reader ?
It can be very cool to have a pdf reader directly in subsonic, without the obligation to dl the pdf.
Thanks !

This is a music/video streaming server. Why would the dev spend his time on adding an embedded pdf reader when that has absolutely nothing to do with the purpose of the project... I mean I understand that there is definitely a market for cloud documents and especially cloud ereading, but I think you are looking in the wrong place for it.

I know this is an old thread, but since it popped up, I thought I'd comment. A simple PDF reader within SS actually wouldn't be the craziest thing I've ever heard of, and not as wildly outside the scope of SS's core mission as Daneren seems to be implying. I know I have a lot of classical box sets that have PDF scans of the booklets that came with them, and it'd be a pretty cool feature to be able to pop that open from within Subsonic to read the notes. Obviously not a high priority thing, but... it would be kind of cool.

You already can. Install a standalone PDF reader that integrates with your web browser (like, any one of them) and add PDF to the list of audio file extensions. Clicking on the PDF will open your PDF reader.

Why re-invent the wheel?
