Problem Of Remote Control

hi, i recently download subsonic and looking forward to use it, however about remote control i have some problems
after installation i changed my admin password and everything and went to network configuration
put check mark to use automatic port forwarding and
It shows status as: Status: Successfully forwarding port 4040.

then i put check mark for custom domain
www.sidewayset.subsonic.org

and status shows this : Status: sidewayset.subsonic.org is registered, but could not connect to it. (ConnectTimeoutException)

i am able to connect this domain and getting redirected to subsonic server, when i try to do it over my laptop even connected to same network, i get error, it just does not open any page, as well as in my ipod

I am using ATT Uverse 2 Wire, Router.

So i want to know , if i put that two checkmarks, is that enough so people can access server from their houses and outside my network, and why it gives error and can not connect to my server, it shows that port is forwarded successfully

You still need to open the port 4040 on the 2Wire modem. Use your modem's manual, and test the port is open with canyouseeme.org and port 4040. Once 4040 is forwarded, your friends will be able to see and use your server. Cheers!

Thanks For Reply, I Changed My Port To 8080, Opened It In Router, Turned Of My Firewalls, Not It Does Connect To Server, Also I Used Custom DNS From no-ip.com to redirect to my IP
Everythings seems to work fine beside substream app , which is not working, however all other apps are working....

I would restart the server's firewall, and just ensure your port is added as an exception. The mobile apps require a donation to function past the 30 day trial. Enjoy!

Well All Apps Including PC And Subsonic on Android works, however there is not free app on apple, and substream is not working, when i type there my custom DNS, my login and password and then go to library it says connecting to server then no error but it does not show up anything
