Help Updating

Hello i have a few days of my trial left but im having issues with the updating it is set to the default update but it doesn't actually update because i have added several new artist and albums and it still doesn't show them. Even if i do a manual update it will also not clear the old ones i have deleted. Is this a issue do to not having paid for it or will this issue persist even after i pay for it?
