subsonic index

my music files are on a readynas duo and I run subsonic on a macbook pro on os x 10.6.8 wired to the network

subsonic works well - I can stream everything locally and over the internet to my iphone using iSub - but I have one issue

I can't search for anything and iSub shuffle doesn't work. I had a prior version of subsonic running on a different machine connected to the same network which had the same problem once and I fixed it by updating the index. I've tried going back to older versions and trying to index, I've deleted the subsonic files and reinstalled - nothing has worked.

any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated

Try indexing again and check the log file, you should see the progress of the indexer and may give a clue at what is happening.
