System pauses

Postby williamsck1 » Mon Dec 23, 2013 7:58 pm

I am new to this and thought I found the perfect fix for my music collect. However I got everything setup but now I am having a major issue. Does not matter if I am on Wifi or LTE.....the songs will start playing like 10 secs and then stops....downloads and starts up again....the pauses and starts downloading again. Does not matter if i am on my Home PC using Firefox or IE...or on my Android phone on Wifi or LTE. Nothing seems to change it. Does not matter if I change the song or change the download speeds in the settings. It pauses. My PC I am using is on a wired network (at home.) Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Has anyone ever seen this issue? The PC I am using as a server for this also runs Plex Media server/runs 1080 vids without issue? Anyone?

Do you mind sharing the fix so others who are searching here can benefit from it?

System does not like Network Drives. Not sure why it is. It will connect to the drive, index the media on the drive and even starts playing the songs on the drive...but pauses all the time. Not sure why. I thought it maybe the speed of the drive (shared USB from router) so I switched to the NAS I have. The NAS has no speed issues but did not improve anything. Plugged an old USB 2.0 external HD on it (Server) and copied some of my music there. This resolved the issue. I believe it was a permissions issue but ruled it out pretty fast seeing Subsonic could see and index the media...even went as far as playing it for like 5 secs before it paused...downloaded and started back up. Must be something in my setup thats causing this issue. Not sure what but I got a work around for it.
