Linux no longer receiving Flash updates firefox crash issue

helllo i am currently running :
Version 4.8 (build 3434) – April 17, 2013
Server jetty-6.1.x, java 1.7.0_45, Linux (49.7 MB / 169.0 MB)
and when trying to transcode with firefox it stutters and then crashes the flash plugin on the client side
this normally would be solved by a nice flash update i used to use the webupd8te ppa but as adobe only supports up to flash 11,2,202,327 on linux it kind of hampers the flow of using just firefox have to load it up in IE i have not tested to see if loading a wine version of the plugin will work however i doubt that it will could anyone lend me some insight on if they have the same issue or if they have found a way to fix it

What version of Firefox, and what Distro are you using?

Some distros have updated versions of Firefox (25.0.1 I believe is the latest, what I have).

Is the error you get on your Windows computer or on the Ubuntu server? Transcoding should take place on the server side, and direct output to the Flash on your Windows PC. It really doesn't matter if you have Flash on your server or not. (I actually don't have it on mine.)

If the error is on your Windows computer (as I suspect it is), try accessing your site from another browser (IE or Chrome), and see if that works.

still have this issue even after complete reinstall of server using oracle java through the webupd8team ppa
current version java se build 1.7.0_45-b18 ubuntu 13.10 fully updated crashes firefox still going to build a test site to try and convert over to html5 version of jwplayer
