Help with album art for playlist listening.

Postby isaacq » Mon Dec 16, 2013 12:47 am

I have imported some playlists into Subsonic. They are simple .m3u files that list the directory and filename of a bunch of songs/albums in a particular order. Importing worked fine, and I can listen to the entire playlists in the web player.

However, for some reason Subsonic won't display the album art of the individual albums / songs within the playlist. It's grabbing the album art from the first song in the playlist, and displaying that for every other song in the playlist. Is this a problem on my end, or an intentional feature of Subsonic? Please help!!

Thanks in advance :)

Hey Isaacq,

Been wondering this same thing. A forum search revealed on a single post on the subject that said that not updating the album art in the main frame is "the currently implemented method."

Seems very strange to me -- wouldn't we want the main frame to always show the currently playing song?

Right now I've opened up Subsonic, and it's showing the album art to Decemberists - Her Majesty album, which is what i listened to yesterday. I loaded a playlist of 50 songs, and clicked on the first song in the list... and the album art did NOT refresh. It moved to the 2nd song, and it DID refresh. It's now been 11 songs and 48 minutes, and it's still showing the cover art to that 2nd song. Makes NO sense whatsoever.

Sticking with it to see if the main frame refreshes every hour or something...
