Files names display different

Postby waltermmm » Wed Feb 12, 2014 12:48 am

Hallo everybody, I'm using subsonic since 4.2 version. The last 2 years i hardly used it, but now I upgraded to the latest 4.9 version.

Some versions before 4.9 version Subsonic was not able to receive the correct idetags from the files. So I named my files like this.

/Music/%A/%A - %B (%Y) [FLAC]/%N - %A - %T

in other words

MUSIC-folder/Alex Harvey/Alex Harvey - The Mafia Stole My Guitar (1979) [FLAC]/01 - Alex Harvey - Don's Delight.flac

I did this because Subsonic was not able to display the file format (flac or mp3), and as far as I remember also the year was sometimes a problem. Subsonic worked by folders.

The year and the file format, which is displayed from the folder name, is not a problem to me as it was there before and I know that it will be displayed like this.

But the earlier versions of Subsonic recognized in my example here that the first folder (Artist Folder) contains the word "Alex Harvey" and the second folder (the album folder) also contains the word "Alex Harvey". So it must be the artist and subsonic display it only once.
So in the subsonic interface showed "Alex Harvey/The Mafia Stole My Guitar (1979) [FLAC]/01 Don's Delight"

But now it's displayed like above.
I have made a screenshot.

Is it somehow possible to exclude the first part of the Albums folder name, so that I do not have to rename my hole libary?

Thank you very much,
waltermmm
