Hrmm.. it didn't respect the dir_mode and file_mode options. Can you add the the rw option as well? We're real close, there's just something missing on that string.

Now it look like this, it doenst create a 0 byte cover file this time.

The user in the fstab credentials is now the admin of my NAS. Tried with different accounts here.

EDIT: Now i get java.io.FileNotFoundException: /mnt/spfnas03music/Sorted/Death Metal/C/Cannibal Corpse (USA)/Cannibal_Corpse-Vile-(Remastered)-2007-MP3/cover.png (Not a directory) Instead of Permission denied

This is probably unrelated, but how are you getting SS to download the cover art in png instead of jpg? I'll admit that I'm a little stumped right now, but I'm still working on this.

It is depending on the source. Some Google images is png.

Tried alot of different options but cant get it to work.
Tried running chmod 777 on the /mnt/folder before mounting. Didnt help

Just wanted to let you know i solve it using NFS instead.

Installed NFS-client on my Ubuntu Server and enabled it on my NAS.
Have the following in my fstab.
hostname:/volume1/Files/Music /mnt/folder nfs

Now it works like a sharm!
