Subsonic does not recognize external HD in Windows 7

Postby starfighter » Sun Nov 17, 2013 5:43 pm

I'm running Windows 7 with subsonic 4.9 beta 1 (have also used subsonice 4.8).

I'm using a Seagate GoFlex Home 1.5TB drive that is connected via a wired ethernet connection directly to the router, and NOT usb.

My music is located in a folder entitled x:\\music, and I've tried that along with the UNC name of \\GOFLEX_HOME\GoFlex Home Public\Music, and neither works. I always get the message from subsonic that says "Folder not found". I think it may have something to do with user to the drive, but I can see it just fine with my current Windows login.

Help!

I am having the exact same issue with a drive which is mapped in my PC and accessible through the network but that subsonic is not recognising.

Any ideas? Are network drives not supported?

I found this in another post:

However, I cannot seem to figure it out. Any help is really appreciated.

Any ideas on why this could happen and how to fix it? Anyone with a similar issue involving a mapped NAS drive?

doesn't the Goflex NAS attachments require a username and password to access the drive also if your sharing drives via windows 7 it is default set to require username and password to access shared resources amongst other things just my 2 cents on why it would not be able to see the share

I have given up on this one. A shame. However, I now have a regular HD that I can use. :)
