JDK problem

Hi,

I am trying to edit a jsp file. I modified the web.xml file to disable the compiled version. But now I get an error message saying that I must use JDK instead of JRE. I set my PATH and JAVA_PATH to the JDK folder, made sure that javac was working form the command line (so path is ok). Windows is also telling me that the java version appears to be the jdk one. So where should I specify the jdk for the web server to see it?

My first recommendation based on the logs is to uninstall jdk 1.8 and install jdk 1.7. I do not believe subsonic, nor many other programs, have been updated to support java 8. Can you try the java 7 jdk and report back?
