Hello all! I am enjoying streaming my library to my mobile device, but wanted to explore the jukebox mode from the phone. currently, my PC that is hosting SS also uses Media Monkey to stream a never-ending playlist from a curated "collection" to an icecast server in my house that feeds my Sonos system. The Collection capability in MediaMonkey is unmatched in other products that I have used in the past. I have experimented with MediaMonkey "remotes" in the past to use my mobile device to control what is currently playing on my icecast stream, but haven't fallen in love with any of the options.
Now that I am using Ultrasonic on my android phone, it would be perfect to toggle over to jukebox mode and have the MediaMonkey instance on the server PC open the playlist. I know I can configure an external playlist for the browser when on that PC, but can an External player be set up on the server side for the jukebox mode?
Why don't I just want to use the native jukebox mode, you ask? MediaMonkey has a feature to always add songs to the end of the playlist, but more importantly, it can be configured to add those songs from a defined "Collection" that allows me to have some control over what is randomly selected. So, no Christmas music when it's not Christmas, no podcasts or audiobooks, etc.
Thanks for any insight you may have on pulling this off. It would truly be an ideal solution for me.
