accessing media library from smartphone

So as far as I know, everything is set up correctly and I've established connection. I have already chosen the folders for the media I want Subsonic to see and stream. I can view and play everything just fine through the browser, but I'm confused of the organization of the media on my phone app. I can access it and everything, but only through the "recently added" and If I play songs, it then becomes visible through recently played, most played, etc) under the album section of the home tab. When I scroll over to the Library tab, there is nothing there (showing up), but the select folder option. When I click it, I get the choice of 'All folders' or 'Music' neither of which displays anything to stream. So where is all my content and why can't "My Library" list it all for easy access/selection (like alphabetically by album, artist, or song)
Sorry if i'm confusing anyone, I am new and really trying to figure out how I can just play and browse through the music in my collection (which is on my pc) via my phone, while I'm @ work or out for a bike ride/run. So If I'm not clear, I'll do my best to clarify trying in trying to solve this issue.
