Accessing my private online collection

Hi there,

I have a hosting plan with godaddy and one of the domains I have is for sharing all things personal/private/family related - photos camcorder movies etc.

It's not VPS so I assume I'm wasting my time loading up my music collection to stream from this site?

Unfortunately, you are correct. Even some VPS accounts don't give the account holder the permissions needed to set up Subsonic. The best option for most users is to just repurpose an old system for use at home. For just music streaming, the hardware and bandwidth required is minimal. Video streaming will require more hardware power.
